Lucky Lax Tryouts 10/24/2016 Lucky Lax Tryouts
Thank you to everyone who came out this past...
Welcome to Lucky Lax's new addition to our Club Program--Local Lucks! Local Lucks is in response to the lacrosse communities need for a local summer travel team for younger players. This program is an early introduction to an elite level of lacrosse! If your daughter is interested in expanding her lax knowledge and continuing to play after the spring season ends then Local Lucks is for her!
Local Lucks will hold 8-10 summer practices and will attend 1 scrimmage and 2 tournaments--all local to Central Ohio.
Local Lucks is open to girls in high school graduating years 2023 & 2024 (current 5th & 6th grades). Registration is first come, first serve and we are expecting to field 1-2 teams with a maximum of 20 players per team.
Each player will need to be assessed before signing up for the team. There will be no cuts but all players need to have experience playing lacrosse.
Local Lucks will be coached by Cecelia Capuano. A 2011 graduate of Thomas Worthington, Cecelia was a four year starter for the Cardinals, finishing her career in the top ten all time leading scorers for Worthington. She was Offensive Most Valuable Player as a junior and palyed in over 60 wins. After graduating, Cecelia went on to play for The Ohio State University Club Team leading the Buckeyes to their first final four appearance in 2014. Cecelia has coached at the youth, middle school level and is currently the JV Head coach at Thomas Worthington.
Practices: 8-10 practices in June
Tournaments: Lucky Lax Scrimmage (New Albany, OH) 6/17, The Ohio Festival (Hilliard, OH) 6/10-6/11, Midwestern War Games (New Albany, OH) 6/24-6/25
